TLD Registration Process
Any individual, business or organization throughout the world may register a TLD with purpose of honest, legal, harmless intent as long as that requested name is available. All TLD request(s) will be processed on a first recieved, first processed basis. ALL requested TLDs must be verified in the Global TLD Whois database by the applicant to determine if it is available prior to submitting any request for a particular TLD.
TLDs that result in a current existing ownership cannot be applied for to ensure there's no TLD duplication.
TLD ownership comes with responsibility to prevent any sacrifice of the integrity of the NextGenTLDs. All applicants must accept the terms of the TLD Service Level Agreement and will uphold those terms through the use of their TLD and any SLD they register. NextGenTLDs expects that all applicants agree that they will not directly or indirectly infringe upon the legal rights of any third party by registering the TLD they are requesting.
There are 5 kinds of TLDs available on the Internet:
gTLDs - (generic TLDs) Limited Internet extensions active today.
pTLDs - (public TLDs) Open access Internet extensions available to anyone today and in the future.
rTLDs - (restricted TLDs) Internet extensions without an on-line registry.
dTLDs - (dormant TLDs) Extensions that are reserved for future use. (not available)
